When you own a car for over 25 years, it certainly becomes part of the family. This is the case with this well looked after Morris Minor 1000. The 1000 is one of the most popular cars to visit us at the David Manners Group and the majority of them are daily runners kept in excellent condition.
But you can’t expect to run a classic on a daily basis without expecting the odd mechanic or parts bill. As our customer explained, the floor has been completely overhauled to fix a rust problem that had manifested itself causing problems elsewhere. With this work complete, the next step was to undertake a complete service and fix those niggling parts that you never seem to get around to. As you can see from the pictures, the obvious 2 include the absence of a wing mirror and a headlamp rim.
Despite the rust problem, the outer body work is sound and the colour is still vibrant and pleasing on the eye. Our customer is the 3rd owner of this Morris Minor and he knows it has always been cared for as he has a full service history available. The car has covered over 130,000 miles with 7000 of those in the last few years.
